Fashion and Industry
For a module completed during second year of University, as a collective class we had to create a print publication fashion magazine based upon all our different interests, topics and themes between us all. Individually, we applied for separate job rolls to ensure we were placed into a sector we are highly skilled and favour. I applied to become part of the social media team, which I thankfully became manager of and worked independantly on creating while working closely with the rest of the teams to make sure I was uploading content to promote and tease the content for the magazine but also collaborating and helping the event and sponsorship team as we worked together to build promoting outside of the publication.
To create content for the social platforms, I gathered behind the scenes footage and imagery from photoshoots to keep the audience interacted with the progress, promotion from sponsorship brands that have given us the opportunity to provide products as prizes on the launch event, countdown posts created via Premier Pro & After Effects to present how many days left until the event to increase the attention and bring in attendees from the industry and customers to celebrate the reveal.
Overall, the social media accounts could have been more creative and less formal but as we did not want content and topics of the magazine to be revealed or shown to keep it a surprise on the night of the event.
